Jen & Billy
Between being a Buyer and mum to a gorgeous little one, Jen is a very busy member of our team. From boardroom to bath time, you’ll find her dressed in effortless outfits no matter the task at hand!
“I love being a mum! I found myself feeling very fulfilled when I had Billy, it was like the world slowed right down and I become more content just “being” in the moment.”
Pulling from her Swedish heritage, Jen’s style transcends fashion fads, piecing together outfits that have a timeless appeal. When it comes to sourcing for paulaglazebrook. Jen follows the same set of rules, buying easy staples that slot seamlessly into any woman’s wardrobe.
“I would consider my style quite minimalistic and maybe a little bit trend-inspired. I like the beauty of simplicity, effortless outfits that offer easy style in spades. Surprisingly, my style after becoming a mother didn’t change all that much but I certainly started wearing more colour!”
For the shoot, Jen stuck to what she knew, opting for a classic tailored shirt, her favourite pants, and a sophisticated shoe. Like his mum, Billy followed suit and couldn’t look any cuter if he tried!
Sarina & Lucy
Senior Buyer Sarina is an integral part of the paulaglazebrook. team. With a love for fashion that goes beyond the walls of paulaglazebrook., her great taste in clothing and keen eye for designs is an asset not to be underestimated. Like two peas in a pod, she enthusiastically shares this passion with her gorgeous mum, Lucy.
“What do I love most about my mum? I’d have to say her unwavering love and close connection to her family and friends. She is always there for me, supporting me through all of life’s up and downs, I honestly can’t thank her enough for that! She’s our family’s biggest cheerleader”.
Never failing to share their fashion tips & tricks with one another, Sarina and Lucy’s love for clothing often leads to hallway fashion shows when an exciting new purchase is made!
“My mum always says it’s better to look overdressed than underdressed for any occasion. She’s got a great sense of style, always looking immaculate in whatever she wears.”
Although the pair have different tastes when it comes to fashion, they both share a mutual understanding of fashion trends and feel confident experimenting with cuts and colours whilst dressing true to their body shape.
Choosing Lucy’s outfit for the shoot, Sarina followed this approach to fashion, selecting a brightly coloured knit, and what can we say, she looks amazing!
Krissy & Carol
Running a major fashion business means Owner/Director Krissy sources her inspiration from many places. One person that’s influenced her style tastes over the years is her mum, Carol.
“My mum is someone I’ve always looked to for style inspiration. Her “less is more” approach to fashion has rubbed off on me.”
Krissy’s love for fashion and style can be seen all throughout paulaglazebrook. From inception to now, she remains a keen advocate for building out your wardrobe with quality basics that can be worn for years to come, and we couldn’t agree more!
“My mum and I have similar tastes when it comes to fashion. We both tend to buy classic wardrobe staples that last the test of time. You can’t go wrong with a great white tee, at least 2 pairs of jeans, and a little touch of leopard never fails us!”
Styling her mum for the shoot, Krissy naturally gravitated towards a “less is more” approach for Carol. With a mutual love for animal print, it was a no brainer to choose a piece that tied the outfit together in a subtle yet chic way.
Krissy & Zoe
Along with running a business, raising two kids can be a hard juggle, but Krissy certainly makes it work. And, what’s more amazing, she does so with a smile on her face!
“What I love most about my mum is her personality,” beams Zoe, Krissy’s youngest. “I love it how she’s always happy in every room. She’s living life to the fullest and always smiling. She’s ready for anything!”
As the creator of paulaglazebrook, Krissy naturally has a love of style.
“My mum’s style means a lot to her,” Zoe agrees. “Some days it’s not colourful and some days it is, but she’s always feeling her outfit. She always loves her outfit and does a really good job with what she wears.”
For this part of shoot, Zoe dressed her mum in a Clarity Cardigan and Junko Denim Jeans.
“I think her outfit really shows who she is. It’s similar to what she wears day-to-day. Minimal and nice. And her hair’s looking very nice!”
Zoe, who wore an Est 1971 jumper for our shoot, often looks to her mum for fashion advice.
“Her style has influenced how I dress a lot, a lot! I don’t really dress out there much or wear lots of colours. I like to play it cool like mum.”
While Krissy and Zoe have a wonderfully close relationship, Zoe did let us in on a little secret about her mum…
“She was really nervous about what I would say.”
Susie & Grace
As Online Operations Manager of paulaglazebrook, Susie is a vital (and very busy) member of our team. Of course, her hard-working nature is far from her only great attribute. She’s also incredibly kind, loving, fun, and an amazing mum.
“It’s so hard to decide what I love most about my mum,” says her daughter Grace. “There’s so much to love! Obviously, her love is always nice, but she’s also an amazing cook. I love her cooking! And she’s my best friend, so I guess there’s everything to love about her.”
Always willing to help others, Susie can often be found lending a hand in our warehouse and generally supporting the team where needed. Thankfully, her hands-on approach never keeps her from looking stylish at work.
“My mum has a very classic and timeless style,” muses Grace. “It’s definitely something I would aspire to when I get to her age. She also has a very good eye for some funky pieces that I like to go and steal from her wardrobe when she’s not around.”
“My mum’s style has definitely influenced mine. Mum has always steered me in the direction of things that are flattering and beautiful rather than necessarily the latest trend or fad. I like to think that I’ve carried that on from her.”
When choosing her mum’s outfit for the shoot, Grace stayed true to her mum’s signature colour: navy.
“Her outfit she is wearing today looks stunning on her. Look at her! She looks good in anything but she does rock the navy. I think the high neck is a little bit different from her normal style but she looked great in it.”
Kerry & Paris
Kerry, our fabulous Customer Service Manager, is a vital link between paulaglazebrook. and all of you (some of you may have even spoken to her via email or phone!). Always happy and helpful, she loves what she does and is amazing at it. Carrying that attitude through her whole day, Kerry is just as positive and supportive at home as she is at the office. Her daughter Paris says it’s one of the things she loves most about her mum.
“What do I love most about my mum? Oh my god, there are so many things! Her honesty, her loyalty… She’s so supportive and just loves everything and will give everything a go. She’s such a great mum, honestly. I wouldn’t be who and where I am today without her.”
While Paris may have inherited her mum’s beautiful personality, her style couldn’t be further from her mum’s.
“To be honest, in comparison to me, her style’s a bit boring,” jokes Paris. “But, no, she dresses very well. She’s definitely got a cool style, it’s just not my style! She’s a bit more sophisticated whereas I try to be more fun, colourful and out there. She’s definitely got a good style for herself, though.”
While their styles differ, Paris does always appreciate her mum’s opinion.
“While her style hasn’t influenced me much, I will say that she’s got a really good eye for things. When I go to buy something, she’ll let me know what she thinks is good and what’s not. She’s very honest, which is helpful.”
Giving her own fashion advice to her mum for this shoot, Paris chose a nice pop of green for Kerry.
“Her outfit today was so good. I was so happy with what she wore. I thought she was going to say no but then she actually loved the green! The look was definitely different from what she normally goes for, but I liked it a lot.”

“She’s pretty cool, and on-trend, which is good. It’s lucky to have a mum that’s on-trend! She’s not too embarrassing,” Izzy teases. “She dresses for her age but isn’t afraid to experiment with different colours and patterns. She likes to see what the trends are and then alter them to make them her own.”
“Her style has definitely influenced mine. I’ve always just been a bit more outgoing with my style because of her, and have also had an interest in fashion because of her love of style. I’m not very shy with what I wear and I like to go outside the basic trends. She’s shown me places to buy clothes that are different. Pieces that you can layer and not just wear plain.”
While Michelle’s great sense of style is without a doubt something we all love about her (have you seen her outfits on our Instagram!), she’s also an amazing person. Around the office, she never fails to make us all laugh with her antics and smile with her friendly, positive attitude. At home, it’s no different.
“My mum is very generous and kind and she doesn’t care what others think. She’s always herself and always inspires others, like me and my sister, to be ourselves. She also makes you believe that you can achieve anything you want to if you put your mind to it. What was the inspiration behind starting the paulaglazebrook. Label?
Krissy: The inspiration behind starting the label was our customers! Our customers are a very loyal bunch, and they love giving us feedback on what they’re looking for. In creating this range, we drew on this feedback and really listened to what our customers were missing in their wardrobes. What we found was that they wanted chic, everyday styles with a twist and that quality and fit were essential. So, we started there and voilà! The paulaglazebrook. label was born.
Tell us about the paulaglazebrook. range for spring/summer ‘21?
Sarina: The range is a collection of summer cotton dresses, shirts, and fun pleated skirts! We wanted to start with great core colours, including navy (a quintessential colour for paulaglazebrook.), black, white, and khaki. We then paired these back with contrasting yet complementary trims to bring the pieces to life. A red, white & navy stripe was the perfect pairing to our navy and white cheesecloth designs while the leopard trim on the khaki and black styles offered a subtle but fresh edge. The Harper cotton shirts in the range provide a pop of colour for spring with their soft pink and navy pinstripe prints while the pleated skirts make a stylish statement with striking prints and stripes.
When and where can the paulaglazebrook. range be worn?
Michelle: The collection is based on being able to wear any of the pieces anywhere… You can go from beach to bar, from pool to lunch, and they’re perfect for packing and wearing sightseeing on a warm city break. Best of all, the collection is perfect for relaxing at home. Whether you’re lazing on the deck reading a magazine or having a last-minute BBQ with friends, these pieces work so well!
What was the design process behind the range?
Sarina: It was really collaborative! We had a brainstorming session with the whole head office and got feedback from the wider warehouse team to start the initial concepts and direction of the label. We wanted the collection to have little points of difference in each design, so we incorporated trims, cuff details, and lurex waistbands. Krissy, Michelle, Jen, and I worked really closely together to build the concepts and designs. Jen and I worked on the production management side of things, drawing the CADs (computer-aided designs), creating the specification packs, and liaising with China and our different manufacturers.
How important was getting the fit right and what was involved in this process?
Jen: Fit is everything when you develop a product! A garment that fits correctly also shows the design properly. We are lucky to have our own in-house fit model at paulaglazebrook. (a.k.a. Michelle) and together we spend a lot of time perfecting the fit and design when samples come in. This usually involves lots of pins, measuring tape, and other products to compare to.
The range has some incredible prints and trims, what inspired these?
Krissy: I find adding a trim or a print to a casual, everyday style elevates the product and allows you to transition from weekday to weekend with ease. The red, white & navy stripe is a favourite of mine. It’s classic and versatile while providing that perfect stylish twist! Oh, and the python print on our pleated Cleo Skirt is a game-changer! So stylish!
What was the process for sourcing the trims for the paulaglazebrook. range?
Jen: The inspiration for paulaglazebrook. designs are classic shapes, in great comfortable fabric with fun details. This is where the idea of trims and piping came into play. We took inspiration from classic prints and colors and applied these onto trims. Then we worked back with our overseas suppliers, who helped us develop these to look just the way we envisioned.
Tell us about some of the fabrics in the range, such as the incredible cheesecloth?
Sarina: The cheesecloth is 100% cotton and a great fabric for summer and the hot days ahead! It is extremely comfortable to wear as it’s a loosely woven fabric that is breathable. It has a gauze-like texture, which gives the fabric a crinkled look. It crinkles a lot more once washed but can be steamed out if a less crinkled look is what you’re after. The Harper Shirts are also 100% cotton and have a beautiful crisp but soft hand-feel. They aren’t stiff and the fabric used really gives it that relaxed, easy styling we wanted to achieve. The pleated skirts are made in a polyester for easy wash and wear. They can be popped in a washing bag and in the washing machine and come out looking just like you put them in!
What inspired the names of the products?
Michelle: The inspiration behind the names for this first collection was all the places we dreamed of visiting and longed to be after so long in lockdown. Corsica, St Barts, and Portofino instantly deliver a fresh, warm, elegant & stylish image that is aspirational. This is how we want our customers to feel when wearing our dresses and skirts.
What sizes does the paulaglazebrook. range come in?
Jen: Here at paulaglazebrook. we are proud to be an inclusive brand! We aim to offer all styles from sizes 8-22 or S–3XL.
What is your favourite piece from the paulaglazebrook. range?
Michelle: So hard to choose a piece! But if I really had to, it would be the St. Barts Dress in Navy. This is just such a summer essential. Everyone needs one in their closet!

Next, pull the sweater up a few centimetres towards your chin then let it drop over the belt and presto! This smart way of styling will have you ending up with a perfect tuck that sits nicely over the waistband of your skirt that stays in place all day.

Jeggings are a clever blend of both jeans and leggings. They are super popular thanks to their unique combination of both comfort and fashion. With the soft, stretchy feel of leggings and the cool look of standard jeans, this great pant style is one you need in your closet. Not only are they versatile and can be worn year-round, but they also provide the same look as your favourite skinny jeans with the benefit of a comfy elastic waist! (No buttons or zips digging in!)
How Should Jeggings Fit?
Before we get into what to wear your jeggings with, it’s important to make sure they are fitting right. If not, you’ll never achieve your desired look!
In general, jeggings have a softer, thinner, and stretchier feel than traditional jeans. As such, they are not as rigid or stiff and easily contour to the shape of your body. Thanks to this, they look best when worn tight against the leg. Doing so creates the illusion that you’re wearing skinny jeans while providing you the comfort of a pair of leggings.
If you generally prefer loose-fitting pants, jeggings may not be the right choice for you. Due to their fabrication, jeggings can look baggy and sag when not worn tight against the body. Therefore, if you are between sizes, we recommend buying down for jeggings.
Choosing the right length for your jeggings is also important. Jeggings that are too short can look a little awkward and cut you off in the wrong place while jeggings that are too long can bunch up and create an unflattering look, making you appear shorter than you are. In general, the sweet spot is just above your ankles, which creates a balanced and flattering look.

For this Behind the Brand article, we interviewed Michelle. A face most of our customers will instantly recognise, Michelle is the creative heart of paulaglazebrook. and our favourite model. Around the office, she’s our go-to for spontaneous dancing, great laughs, and endless outfit inspiration! Here, she tells us a little about herself.
Introduce yourself, Michelle
I’m Michelle and I’m the in-house stylist and content creator at paulaglazebrook. I style the photoshoots, curate the latest looks, and create content for our social media platforms. I started working at paulaglazebrook. last year (2020) and have loved creating imagery and videos for the business since! Showing customers different ways to style and wear everyday clothes is something I really enjoy.

Tell us about your story so far
I was born in London and moved to Australia in 2007. I am married with two daughters and love the beach life, which is why I emigrated to Australia! In the UK, I trained and worked as a professional dancer, which was amazing. I performed on TV and in huge stadiums like Wembley & Earls Court Arena. I danced in Berlin, Amsterdam, and for the MTV awards in Milan. I even performed at the West End theatre for the Royal Variety Performance in front of Prince Charles! After having my children, I began teaching dance to kids aged 6-16. I also have my teaching certificates in Yoga and Pilates!

What are some of your hobbies?
Being an ex-professional dancer, keeping fit and moving is important to me. I love playing indoor beach volleyball, practicing yoga, and I try and dance whenever I can (with and without booze!). For the past year, my girlfriends and I do a bay dip one day a week, usually Saturday or Sunday! We call ourselves the bayside dippers and love the rush as the water hits our skin! Yes, even in winter! Dipping has changed my life. The mental and physical challenge is why I do it! I couldn’t do it without the support of the other ‘dippers’ though!
Of course, while I love being active, I need downtime too. During which, I love to watch comedy, especially British comedy! We are definitely the funniest, haha!

I love the team here at paulaglazebrook and I love my job as it’s different every day! I can honestly say I have never dreaded coming to work! Each day is different, and I really love everything about it. Especially the days when I get to do the ‘fits’ as I love trying on all the clothes!
When you’re not at work where can you be found?
When I’m not at work or in lockdown you will find me shopping! I love shopping! And travelling. Shopping while travelling is my dream!!

What trends are you loving right now?
My favourite trends are pretty timeless. I love striped tops, good denim, and classic shirts. I’m also always searching for the perfect beach dress! I love changing my look to suit my mood. Some days I like to be comfy in our Wash Out Lounge Pants and a cool sweat and others I like to be a little chicer with classic Chelsea Pants, a shirt, and stylish sneakers.

What are your style picks of the season and why?
My favourite piece for winter is the Avril Jogger! I am living in mine at the moment and even have a pair for home and a pair for “going out” on a walk, coffee run, or errands. They are so fleecy and warm! I also love all the new season summer wear coming through. There are some great new dresses by Haven and Eb&Ive! I have my eye on a few of those. I love animal print too and there’s plenty of that popping up! The new Sunday Jeans with silver trim are my trans-seasonal must-have. They are comfy and easy to wear and perfect for elevating basic tees and tanks.
